Dirk Polenk and Sven Froberg enhance the team of dasbob Vetriebs GmbH
Sports enthusiast and communicative - just two of the most important characteristics of our two new additions. dasbob is expanding the area of communication and marketing within dasbob Vertriebs GmbH with two strong players.
We are excited to welcome Dirk Polenk and Sven Froberg as part of the dasbob family. Dirk and Sven bring their expertise in marketing and communication to the dasbob group of companies. Both are specialists in their fields and feel especially comfortable in the sectors of sports marketing, sponsoring and media.
Dirk Polenk brings with him plenty of expertise on the side of agencies, clubs, enterprises and in working with brand ambassadors. The sales-oriented marketing expert additionally brings a great amount of experience in the fields of brand architecture, brand management as well as event POS marketing. In addition, he always finds the right contact in his first-class network to bring new ideas to life.
Sven Froberg started his career as a permanent member of the editorial team at the sports television format "ran" and the broadcasters DSF and Premiere. With Sven as editor-in-chief, DSF was able to expand its market shares to the highest level in the broadcaster's history. As Sat.1's head of sports, Sven made it his task to rebuild the "ran" brand and establish "ran NFL Football" on Sat.1. As Senior Vice President Creation of wige Group, in his position as Head of Content and Sales of a listed sports media production company, Sven was in charge of the production of various TV formats (e.g. "Servus Brazzo" on ZDF for the Football World Cup 2014) and branded content (e.g. Mercedes, AUDI,Red Bull, Volkswagen).
During his time as Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief at SID, Europe's largest sports news agency, he was responsible for more than 150 employees and developed SID Marketing into a relevant digital motion picture production for brands such as DOSB, Mercedes, AUDI etc.
In his function as media director at the national league club VfL Wolfsburg, his responsibilities included not only the day-to-day business of marketing and corporate communications, with the associated responsibility for personnel and budget, but also the development and implementation of the club's own formats for the web, mobile applications and print media. Especially notable is the successful crisis communication in the relegation battle of the 2018/2019 season.
Between 2020 and 2021, Sven had a consulting mandate for FIFA. In this context, he developed the multilingual YouTube format "Living Football" and took over the implementation of a digital communication strategy for the FIFA channels as well as the set-up of a TV studio at the Home of FIFA Zurich, including the technical infrastructure.
Sven is also a freelance media entrepreneur since 2020. He is currently developing a digital fan platform and has consulting mandates for Axel Springer, Kouneli Media and Sport 1.
These additions to the team are a huge benefit for the whole dasbob crew and we are looking forward to going full throttle on the winning course.
