A visit to the southern border triangle
A dasbob representation will visit the beautiful town of Weingarten on Lake Constance at the end of May 2022 to meet and network with competitors.
Weingarten in May 2022 - dasbob is gaining speed. Good moment to do a competitor check.
dasbob sends a delegation to Lake Constance, to Weingarten to be more exact. They meet Kai-Uwe Kapler and the entire Locamo team there. The journey of Locamo started in 2015 with the launch and should have a somewhat similar idea as dasbob.
To combine the best of stationary retail and e-commerce - that was the goal of Locamo from 2015. The plan did not work out, though, and so it became clear that Locamo would not succeed even before the end of the first half of 2022. In June 2022, Locamo discontinued its operations.
An incentive for dasbob to take a closer look and ask some questions. During intensive discussions with the team, it soon was clear that our ideas were quite similar. However, the goals and the concept of dasbob are fundamentally different from Locamo in many, especially in important points - and are therefore based on a much stronger foundation!
The positive energy of both the team and the owners of Locamo is something we are convinced of. Currently, we are looking at various possibilities to offer the team a perspective.
